"Make the digital transformation within reach" -- this is the vision of the 2019 hannover messe. The five-day event ended with a report by the organizers, and the results were encouraging. The most important topics of this year's global industrial technology summit include artificial intelligence in industrial and robot fields, new 5G mobile communication standards in industrial applications, lightweight design and future work in the context of rapid digital development.
"Hannover messe 2019 is proving to the world that it provides an important showcase for industrializing transformational technologies," said Dr. Kirkler, executive chairman of hannover messe. "more than 215,000 visitors are using hannover messe as a platform to invest in new technologies and prepare for future trade developments. Only hannover can provide a comprehensive perspective to let visitors understand the application scenarios, the potential and interaction of industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, 5G and energy solutions."
About 6,500 exhibitors from around the world presented future manufacturing and energy supply solutions, including more than 500 cases involving artificial intelligence deployment, 5G applications, energy and power transmission solutions in industrial manufacturing. Robots are also a big draw for visitors. Top robot manufacturers and startups show practical applications to all sectors of the industry. This year's partner country Sweden with high and new technology stood out, a total of 160 companies.
The exhibition has attracted 215,000 professional visitors, nearly 40% of whom are from abroad. "The record number of participants is yet another example of the international significance of hannover messe and the strength of Germany as an industrial power," said Dr Kirkler. Second only to Germany, China (7,200) was followed by the Netherlands (5,900), Italy (3,400) and the United States (3,400). The audience in partner country Sweden was 2,600.
The exhibitors spoke highly of the exhibition. "Now that the hype over the development of the machinery industry has dissipated, hannover messe's role as a beacon of industry and innovation is increasingly important. Mechanical engineers are at the forefront of the era of product connectivity, and the strong interest of the show audience in machine-to-machine communication and the unified architecture of the 'global machine language' OPC confirms that our members are at the forefront of development. Another key factor in integrating manufacturing is the over-speed 5G mobile standard, an area where hannover is showing strong momentum. In recent years, the wave of industry 4.0 has been sweeping through, and this year's show shows how far we have come since we started, "said Thilo Brodtmann, executive director of the German engineering union.
"5G and hannover messe are a perfect fit." Klaus Mittelbach, chief executive of the ZVEI industrial alliance. "Next year's exhibition will focus on 5G technology applications. Companies in the electrical engineering and electronics industries are eager to use the new standard for mobile communications. Like artificial intelligence, 5G technology will become an important competitive factor." "He concluded.
As the main partners of the premiere, nokia and qualcomm, the technical support providers of the exhibition, have for the first time brought visitors to the 5G test environment. This initiative enables solution providers and potential users to demonstrate and test the potential of this new standard for mobile communications for industrial applications.
The 5G technology premiere at hannover messe also marks the launch of the German hannover exhibition company's smart place initiative, which will see the hannover exhibition center become the world's first full 5G exhibition venue in the coming months.
Hannover messe hosted a variety of BBSS and conferences, with fruitful dialogues among experts from industry, politics and research and development on topics such as industry 4.0, artificial intelligence and future jobs. Other events that received the most attention were the lightweight design summit hosted by the German ministry of economics and energy, the future of work in the industry conference and the summit of industrial pioneers.
With the motto "Swedish joint laboratory", the Swedish partner focuses on innovation and collaboration. As Dr Kirkler puts it: "Sweden is the source of the innovative solutions of the future: free thinking and a friendly atmosphere for innovation."
Hannover industrial fair
In the era of digital transformation, hannover messe is also developing. Thanks to strategic adjustments such as rebranding, new theme schemes and new pavilion layout, hannover messe is strengthening its role as the world's leading industrial technology fair.
The main exhibition theme categories, the upgraded exhibition layout will lay the foundation for the future development of industry, energy and logistics.
The next hannover industrial fair will be held on 20-24 April 2020, with Indonesia as the official partner country.
